Dog Speak

As a matter of course I have adverse reactions to bands named after dogs or monkeys but I love dogs and songs about dogs. This song pays tribute to over a dozen other dog songs. The accordion is not quite the original lick - a nod to Dog Hill- while we allude to diamond dogs, walking the dog and who let the dogs out . Find the other references for yourself. Recently I did a percussion overdub by recording a pit bull being scratched. I forgot to include "walking my cat named dog". "Elvis loved his old Shep but the black-eyed dog took him down- now I wanna be your dirty old egg-sucking dog."
